Sumitomo Electric Lightwave’s latest Quantum Type-Q101-VS+ features a navigational touch screen monitor for optimum user friendliness. The new Q101-VS+ also features an SD port for virtually unlimited data storage plus video, software uploads and downloads. SEL’s TYPE-Q101-VS+ is an active cladding alignment fusion splicer that enables more precise and reliable fusion splices as compared to traditional clad alignment splicers. The TYPE-Q101-VS+ also boasts a fast 7 second fusion splice time and coupled with its new high speed shrink oven, Sumitomo has decreased total splice cycle time to only 27 seconds. The Q101-VS+ comes standard with fiber holders as an improved modular fiber retention system for use with splice on connectors, loose buffer and corded fibers.
